Today’s students are experiencing college in a new way. They are participating in top-notch research projects, new academic programs, and some are even starting their own businesses. They’re forward thinkers with networks around the world, literally at their fingertips.
As I end my first year serving as President of the college's Alumni Board, I am proud of the progress the college has made as it transitions to new leadership. We are confident incoming Dean Prabu David will continue momentum and grow the college in new ways to best prepare students for a changing and connected world.
Last year, I encouraged board members to think outside the box and put forward a strategy that will, first and foremost, benefit our students. In the fall, we heard Dr. David’s vision for the future of communication and we were able to hear from ComArtSci students about their experience and saw some great opportunities for our board to be instrumental in furthering their success.
Looking ahead, we will work closely with Dr. David in continuing to help the college by using our collective strength to support our extraordinary Spartans so they may continue to have an impact on the world.
