The Media and Informationdepartment is one of the sponsors of the MSU Hackathon where hacking on code can easily extend into the worlds of laser cutters, 3D printing, electronic toys and more.
This free event gives coders, designers, leaders and tech enthusiasts the opportunity to connect with each other and collaborate on ideas and projects. Participants can expect to learn new technology, tools, utilities, languages, frameworks and skills while sharing what they know with others.
This year's MSU Hackathon takes place at the Lansing Makers Network in the Old Temple Club Building in Old Town (502 E. Grand River Ave., Lansing, Mich.). The weekend event starts Friday, April 11, at 6 p.m. and runs through Sunday, April 13, at 2 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to participate, both those affiliated and not affiliated with MSU, including professionals, students and hobbyists. However, space is limited so be sure to register as soon as possible.
