The ICT4D Global Corps - Study Abroad Program (Tanzania)

For all majors

The ICT4D Global Corps brings together students and faculty from the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the Honors College. Since 2008, the ICT4D Global Corps has been providing undergraduate and graduate students with a real-world, service learning experiences bringing IT technology to developing countries of the world.View photos from the 2012 program >

In future years, new service learning opportunities for students are planned that focus on other developing regions, including West Africa, Latin America, and Asia.

Ben Gurion University of the Negev (Israel)

for all majors
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), a major center for teaching and research with over 19,000 students, is the youngest of the four Israeli universities with an MSU study abroad program.

Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel)

for all majors
Today, over 24,000 students, from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds, study on the University's four campuses, including some 1,200 visitors, with over 300 students from United States, at Rothberg International School (RIS).

International Communication and the International Workplace in Paris and Brussels (France)

The program will introduce students to the similarities and differences in international communication and organizational communication between the United States and the European Union nations.

American College of Thessaloniki

Visual Communication: From Barcelona to Berlin (Spain)

Using European cities as our classroom, students will have the opportunity to study the design culture and how each is different in this five-week program set in the first session of summer. Visits to historic and architectural sites as well as media outlets and design studios will enhance the experience.

Mass Media (United Kingdom)

Ranging across all communication media and professions, this program takes advantage of unique opportunities within the United Kingdom to visit and meet outstanding communicators and scholars.

Photo Communication (United Kingdom, Czech Republic, France)

for JRN, COM, ADV majors
Photo communication including social documentary, photojournalism, architecture, art and advertising, history, culture and travel are the cornerstones of this unique program.

Media, Management and Culture in Europe
Summer 2015

for all majors
Hosted in Evry, France, just 30 minutes south of Paris, this program offers students a unique opportunity to study in one of three tracks described further below. During your 4-week stay in France, you will also have the opportunity to visit Belgium and Switzerland through organized field trips to the European Commission and the International Telecommunication Union!

You may choose one of the three 3-week specializations offered:

  1. European Management,
  2. IT in Europe, OR
  3. French Culture
