Website Design Camp

Valeta Wensloff and Aiman Farooq with web design campers
Website Design Camp makes a glorious return to MSU Media Summer Camp programming in 2013!

Web design is about professional web authoring techniques including technology standards, aesthetics and production in media settings. During camp, participants will blend design principles and development skills through guided instruction and hands-on activities. By the end of the week, students will have designed a functioning website or blog to publish online!

Students are taught to code in HTML and CSS, and create and customize their website graphics and images using Adobe Photoshop. Students learn to add menu settings, photo galleries, video files, animations, audio files, and more to make dynamic, interactive, and interesting websites! Camp topics include HTML (basic authoring), CSS (advanced authoring), Dreamweaver (software authoring), Information Architecture, and Interaction/Navigation.

Software: Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop

Prerequisite: No prior knowledge is necessary in order to attend, just bring your creativity and ideas!
