Why These Experiences Matter
The U.S. Department of Labor projects that by 2020, there will be over 1.4 million computer specialist or technology-focused job position openings. Yet U.S. only graduate 29% qualified students to fill these jobs! While women make up more than half of the U.S. workforce and University student spots, women represent less than 15% of all engineer and technical media entertainment positions in the world, and less than 25% of jobs in all technical or computing fields. We need to inspire and have more students interested in technology!
Creativity is extremely important to instill in our children, to help them think abstractly about solving the world's largest problems. Entrepreneurship and innovation drive society forward.
