The Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders offers a study abroad program in London, England; Dublin, Ireland; and Edinburgh, Scotland.
Guest lectures and site visits will encompass many aspects of cultural awareness that are important to professional practice in communication disorders. The group will walk together or travel via local mass transit to these locations.Guest lectures and site visits will provide students with valuable exposure to various therapy techniques and professional philosophies and issues.
Comparisons between clinical practices in England, Ireland, Scotland, and the USA will be addressed, as well as comparisons between our service delivery and those with a national health system. In addition, the various dialectical differences encountered will be used for clinical discussions.
