Off to New York to Show Student Portfolios

Posted on: May 8, 2013

Taking no time to recharge after exam and graduation week, a group of Advertising students are off to New York with Advertising and Media Sandbox faculty member Henry Brimmer. And of course, Assistant Professor Brimmer always likes CAS students to see the view from the top. In the accompanying photo, the students and Brimmer are on the rooftop of The Barbarian Group, a dynamic, young agency where MSU alumna Lissy Anger organized a tour for them. Anger is the creative director for The Barbarian Group.

The students are in New York as part of One Club Creative Week  to show their portfolios to art directors from all major agencies and tour an agency as well. From left to right, students in the photo include Peter Hanley, Vu Nguyen, Jonathan Black, Terry Sieting, Qinge Wu, Assistant Professor Henry Brimmer, Carolyn McLean, Erin Newby and Shelby Rodriguez.

While the trip was planned prior to the announcement of this year's Media Sandbox Creative Challenge, it so happens that the winners, Jonathan Black, Terry Sieting, Qinge Wu, and Carolyn McLean are part of the touring group. Congratulations and best of luck with showing your portfolios!

The Barbarian Group is a digital marketing and advertising agency. The agency offers digital services to brands, media companies, technology companies and startups. Services include creative, technical, user experience, strategy, media planning, social media and product design and development.
