No. 1 in sales communication

Posted on: November 11, 2011

MSU is creating a sales communication legacy. For the third time since 2008, MSU students have received a first-place award at the National Team Selling Competition.

We are so proud of the MSU students on this winning team and every student pursuing sales communication. This award demonstrates the quality of our sales communication specialization, which is producing amazing graduates who are working around the country for companies and organizations. MSU students in this sales communication specialization are graduating prepared to be top-notch sales professionals, and they are in high demand. Not only do they log a significant amount of experiential hours learning about sales in and out of the classroom, but they also hold jobs and participate in student groups like the Global Sales Leadership Society.

This win is also a testament to the faculty, staff and coaches who worked with the students to prepare for the competition. Our leadership, faculty, staff and development team have worked hard to create a program that is of the best quality and it's really showing.

This award also shows the significance of the support toward our sales communication program. Our sponsors all deserve a nod: Farm Bureau Insurance, Altria, C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc., Tom James, Thomson Reuters, Coyote Logistics, Shell, Enterprise, The Brooks Group, RR Donnelley and Salesforce.com. Because of this support, our students are able to go outside of MSU and do great work that is recognized nationwide.

Congrats again to the No. 1 national team selling leaders! I'd love to hear from you at pwhitten@msu.edu.
