Jeremy Steele, the new director of the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association, is featured in the official magazine of the Society for Professional Journalists.

Quill, SPJ's magazine, made Steele the focus of its Member Profile section in its July/August issue.

Steele became the director of MIPA in May when longtime director Cheryl Pell stepped down from the position after serving in it for 25 years.

He has been an adjunct instructor in the School of Journalism since 2009 and was co-chair of the centennial celebration of MSU journalism education in 2010. In addition, Steele is on the board of directors of The State News.
