Journalism Faculty Moderates Panel at International Environmental Journalism Conference

Dave PoulsonSchool of Journalism faculty and the MSU Knight Center for Environmental Journalism Associate Director David Poulson was at the 22nd Annual Conference for the Society of Environmental Journalists on October 17-21, where he moderated the panel discussion, "Is Communicating Climate Change a Lost Cause?"

The annual conference, which drew 550 journalists, educators, scientists and students from 16 countries and 40 states, was hosted by Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

Members of the plenary panel Poulson moderated included Michael Hawthorne, the environment reporter for the Chicago Tribune; Katharine Hayhoe, director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University; Max Boykoff, assistant professor at the Center for Science & Technology Policy at the University of Colorado-Boulder; and Peter Sinclair, producer of "This is Not Cool" for the Yale Forum on Climate Change and the Media.
