School of Journalism faculty member Joe Grimm, along with a panel of students, recently published the first book in a series of several cultural competence guides.
The guide, titled "100 Questions and Answers About Indian Americans," is intended to create stronger communities by using journalism to increase knowledge and understanding.
"We believe it is critically important for business, education, law enforcement, health care professionals and others to have accessible information about our rapidly changing world and neighborhoods," Grimm said. "This is our contribution to that imperative."
The guide is available in paperback as well as a variety of digital formats, including Nook, Kindle, iPhone, iPad and through Google Play. Grimm said he also intends to have it out as an interactive iPad app soon. Copies of this and future cultural competence guides can be ordered on Amazon.Share via these networks:
