Climate Change Communication specialist speaking at the 2017 Bettinghaus Lecture

Maibach head shot 2015Dr. Edward Maibach will be presenting at the College of Communication Arts and Sciences’ annual Bettinghaus Lecture.

Dr. Maibach is the Director of George Mason University’s Center on Climate Change Communication. His lecture will be based off of his research on practicing collaboration with TV weathercasters, “Climate Matters.” The lecture will take place in CAS 145 on April 21, at 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend with no RSVP required.

About Dr. Maibach
Dr. Maibach received a B.A. in social psychology from University of California at San Diego, an MPH in health promotion from San Diego State University and a Ph.D. in communication research from Stanford University.

His recent research is centered around mobilizing populations to adopt behaviors and support public policies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help communities adapt to the unavoidable consequences of climate change.
