Fall Commencement, already one of the most memorable events of the month, is full of extra touches and celebrations this year.
In addition to the almost 200 undergraduates and 44 graduate students from our college who will be walking across the stage this weekend, we also have award winners who will be recognized at commencement.
Of the seven Outstanding Senior Awards given out this December, five of them will be given to students in our college - a very impressive representation from the MSU College of Communication Arts & Sciences. Those five students are:
- Katherine Heck, Communication
- Alexsandra Hermans, Communication
- Gina Holder, Journalism
- Kylie O'Brien, Journalism
- Lisa Thompson, Communication
We also received word that the MSU Senior Class Council chose faculty member Laura Dilley from the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders for the 2011 Faculty Award. Professor Dilley is very deserving of this honor and is not only a great teacher and mentor, but also an extremely successful researcher in the field of communicative sciences and disorders.
Congratulations to all upcoming graduates as they prepare for commencement and finish off their last final exams. If you are among the graduates, you are about to join a proud network of almost 50,000 CAS alumni who will take great pride in your future success. Spartans Will.
I look forward to personally congratulating all of the December graduates. Please keep in touch as a new graduate of the College of Communication Arts & Sciences. You can always email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.Share via these networks:
