Dr. Chuck AtkinWe are deeply saddened to announce that Department of Communication Chair and Professor Dr. Charles Kenward Atkin, “Chuck,” passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 12, 2012.  Chuck was a dear friend, colleague, mentor and teacher to all of us in the communication department, and the college as a whole. He was with the college for 41 years, as an exceptional department chair for the past 15 years. Chuck was named as an International Communication Association (ICA) Fellow, and received the prestigious University Distinguished Professor honor from MSU.
