This Thanksgiving weekend has an extra touch in the college. WKAR's holiday on-air support campaign begins this weekend, but it's very different than in the past.
This time around, we have a "new look" that takes us out of the studios. During the pledge period now until Dec. 13, we have created a new set in the lobby of the Communication Arts & Sciences Building for all our students and visitors to see.
This is one of many ways MSU Broadcasting is visibly in your community. During this season of giving thanks, we want to thank you for your support during this past year and for the feedback we hear from viewers and listeners. It is our pleasure to provide you with news, music and television programming that enriches your life.
Over the coming months, MSU Broadcasting Services and our college want to hear from you even more. We are establishing programs and events that will involve our community in new ways. These include new courses and internships with students, new local programming such as "Beneath the Pines," and much more. This is our pledge to you.
We hope you will show your support of MSU Broadcasting Services this holiday season and always. Public broadcasters around the country are facing fiscal challenges, and our region is no exception. Our college leadership is working closely with WKAR management to address those challenges, and chart an exciting course for the future of public broadcasting in mid-Michigan.
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving. I welcome your comments at email@example.com.Share via these networks:
